berry good

...and thus concludes my first benefit concert! thank you Lord! twas soooo berry good. i sang tonight wanting to know Him more and hear His voice and touch Him and see His face. all i can say is, i did. He is beautiful and His voice is loud and clear and His touch is full of love. i saw Him in every face that sat in the audience. i touched Him through every hug i received. i heard Him in every single person who sang their hearts out for Him because only through Him were they able to touch me they way they did. thank you liwanag for this wonderful experience that will forever live in me. i can only look forward to the many more that will come and the countless homeless outreaches it will help. Amen, we do believe!

notes to self: if ever i sing a solo again, pull microphone down to level of mouth. if ever i do action songs again, just look up to screen for lyrics. and if ever i get nervous before going on stage for Him, ask someone to pray over me.

so i sit, typing at my desk, listening to a bunch of alumni talk in the family room here at shawshank. even though i don't know them, it's so nice to hear them cuz they sound so happy to simply be in each other company again like old times, or so i would assume. it just makes me smile and hope that one day, not too far in the future, but not to soon, i can come back here and talk to old friends from liwanag and be just as happy as they are like no time has ever passed. :)
