Shangri-La Café

a place where all your troubles are gone and people say, "ain't life swell!" hmm...a place to escape all your problems...does that even exist? sure it does, all u have to do is travel through a time continuum vortex in the back of your closet. or at least that's what topanga had to do. the stresses and challenges of life gone in an instant, but never meant to be completely erased. what would life be without troubles and frustrations? easy? yea, most likely, but probably boring and very much stagnant. we'd all be stuck in a 50's/60's black and white family sitcom doing the same thing everyday. so yay for challenges! besides, there can be place where all your troubles can be temporarily erased or at least become a little light. the place is with all those grand people He sends to us to guide and help us. those awesome children of God who are there to help you carry your cross. yup yup! cuz with HIM we can overcome all those overwhelming difficulties of life. :)

anyways, been watching too much tv lately or at least too much for the moment. but i have no problem in watching old boy meets world episodes. today they showed that one and the one where eric and cory fight because cory butted eric out of his life. i got sad when eric said to cory, "You know what, you're right, we're just brothers, we're not friends, you don't have to like me and you don't." i thought about frances and me and how we're not just sisters, we're actually friends. haha, funny cuz i don't think of that much, but it's true...we're friends and i really do like her! :D

not to be mushy and all, but i was thinking about how smart and cool she is. (refer to her 2nd to most recent blog.) i remember growing up thinking, "how in the world can i ever be as great as she is?" i used to compare us a lot cuz i'm super competitive like that. she's my hero and i look up to her in all ways except physically cuz i swear i'm taller than her by like a quarter or so. i mean really isn't she just awesome. there's something about her that somehow motivated me to where i am today. she is one of my guiding lights. she pulls me through the darkness cuz the light she reflects from Him is so bright. (refer to her beautiful smile.) haha...okay i'll stop now. but i love you sooo much frances and i'm praying for you always! :)

i've noticed that a few of my high school friends are gonna be heading out of the country this summer (Taiwan, Vietnam, and Philippines). i'm kinda bummed about that cuz that means we won't be able to catch up quite as much as i would hope, but i'm happy for them. anywho, i always talk about posting random pics so i've decided to post a few random ones from the past months that i never got a chance to post at the moment. i'll post a few everyday...so here they are, enjoy.
