music without words

i keep signing in and out of blogger thinking i'm gonna blog something, but i haven't actually written anything. there's not much that comes to mind. but since i keep signing in and out, i guess i really do have something to write about.

i'm rather thrilled at the moment. i finally got the original score to the princess diaries. mayn i love john debney stuff. okay, well i really like instrumental stuff, mostly soundtracks and such. i don't know why, i just do and the princess diaries one is really calming and at some points i feel like doing the waltz. so it was a bit pricey but cheaper than what i've been seeing in the past years since the first movie came out. i like to believe it's my personal bday gift to myself. not that i believe in personal bday gifts to selves, but yea. so here's to turning 20 by purchasing something that reminds me of being 14 which is how old i was when the movie first came out.

thankfully i'm not afraid of turning 20. i'm excited. to be honest being a teenager was starting to get to me. i guess the reason i don't mind growing older is because supposedly with age comes wisdom. so currently i don't have much wisdom, but i like to believe i'm starting to gather that stuff up, wisdom that is. maybe in another 50 years, i'll be very wise...haha. well, we'll see how old i feel when i hit 30. hmm...maybe then i'll wish i was 20, but i doubt that. sometimes i do wish i was a kid again, but mainly because of the cartoons, easy homework, lack of aches and pains physically, and the joy of going to bed at 9pm knowing you can because 1) you're tired, 2) you've got nothing better to do other than watch tv, and 3) there's nothing good to watch on tv anyways. i think it's just makes me laugh that i'm turning 20 because i remember when my brother turned 20 and i thought he was old. little did i know how young he was and still is. and that goes for all you twenty-some year olds.

so today, besides the longer than expected lab, i got to spend the evening w/ cristina, kathee, janice, and kim at disneyland. twas fun and a good time to just get out of here. hopefully next time disneyland won't close so early. thanks brenton for taking my jobs. i owe you one big time...seriously.

as i was saying, lab took a bit longer. i'm glad my lab partners are smart. it's rather entertaining watching them argue. it's not a hard core arguement, but i can tell when they disagree because when the other one's not looking, one of them looks at me for confirmation that they're right, then that one looks away and the other one looks at me doing the same thing. little do they know that i really don't know anything, i'm just good at pretending i do. haha, i'm just kidding, i tend to know what we're doing as well, but i'm not so much of an on the spot thinker. you have to give me some time to analyze the situation or problem. anyways, my lab partners are cool not just cuz they're smart, but because they're really nice and they let me get away with a lot of things such as messing around in lab. i know, i know i really shouldn't, but sometimes they're just a bit too serious so you gotta lighten up the mood by throwing out a few jokes here or there. okay, well that's enough of lab.

this is becoming a rather lengthy entry. besides that, i forgot to clarify with my dad on whether or not he's coming saturday morning. i feel a bit bad not seeing my parents on my bday mainly because they tend to want to celebrate it more than me and they have every right to considering that they're the reason i'm here. and besides, there's nothing wrong with a little celebration. but yea, i need to chat with him a bit tomorrow about that. in other news, my best friend is coming over for lunch on saturday!!! woohoo, i'm excited. i miss that guy.

hmm...well i guess there's not much else to update you on. i still need to pick up the slack, but i don't want to bother you with that. i was gonna leave you with a picture, but i'm sorry, i got a little lazy on the searching of a good one. okay, i should sleep now. good night.

ps. music without words = great! i don't know much about different composers, but their music is still good. :) let me write the words to their music on the good days and on the bad days too.
