what baby?!

i'm not really in a blogging mood, but i just feel like these last couple weeks of college should be documented. i could probably predict that i will only be blogging another 2-3 times before i graduate. maybe i'll prove myself wrong. but yea, not much going on other than the fact that i'm graduating, thinking a lot about pharmacy stuff, and excited for spirit rally.

last friday i hung out with a pharmacist. she was pretty cool and i officially have a pharmacist role model. of course she doesn't know that, but yea, she was great. showed me the ropes around the hospital and we talked a lot about pharmacy careers and benefits. she has a pharmacist's dream job. i know that sounds pretty nerdy, but what she gets to do is awesome. in fact the hospital created that job just for her. pretty crazy, huh?! plus, she's expecting her first kid. how awesome is that to be at that stage in life? i know i'm not ready to be where she's at, but it's cool to imagine that one day i could be. i love the potential in all of it, the opportunity. i mean, i don't know if i'll actually make it to being a pharmacist or if i'll get married or if i'll have kids, but the idea that it's possible is cool. i guess i just don't want to expect/plan on all that happening in my life because i know there are many punches to be thrown, but i'm not not gonna fight for it. i have a few punches of my own...haha...or so i like to believe.

anyways, i came to the conclusion that i have a lot of work to do over the next 7-8 years. i'm excited, a bit scared, but determined...sometimes. i just hope i don't lose that determination. i want to want something here, in this life, on this earth. something i know i can't take with me after this life of mine is gone. actually, i know i can't take any of this. sometimes i act too much like this life is temporary. although it is, that doesn't mean i can just drop everything i'm doing for a lack of interest. hence the concept of purpose.

haha, i always say to abby, "we're all gonna die anyways." which of course, physically is true, so i'd like to physically accomplish something in this world. and right now, doing this school thing for the next couple years is it. i see this career as something that is bringing me closer to that eternal happiness. just like St. Ignatius. God doesn't present and give us things that wouldn't provide an eternal happiness. there's something lasting in all forms of love, we just have to be conscious of it.

okay, that was a bunch of random typing. i'm tired so that's probably why i'm vunerable to writing like this. again, here's to my abrupt ending.

p.s. i think the idea of being indestructable is neat and i'm glad a piece of me is. :)

good night.
