what a lose, lose, lose situation...
so what, may you ask, is a lose, lose, lose situation. well basically there was a major accident on the 10 east thus i decided to take the 60, but alas everyone else decided to take the 60 too. and in a last minute decision i pulled off and decided to stick with the 57. past the 10 and saw the craziness of traffic and headed to the 210. sadly that was traffic as well, therefore it was a lose (10), lose (60), lose (210) situation. haha, either way i got home safe and sound.
i just think it's funny that i live relatively close to 4 different freeways, yet they all got me. well i didn't mention the fourth one, the 15, but that's just out of the way cuz i'd pass my house to get to there.
anyways, i'm not too big of a fan of 3 day weekends. not because we get an extra day off, but because people feel the need to take advantage of the extra weekend day so they drive and travel and cause clogging in areas that normally don't have clogging. haha, i guess i should just be grateful that people are actually not as lazy as i believe them to be. it's kind of like Christmas or Easter at church. you know how it gets more filled on those days...yea like that. but on those days i'm just glad people, whether out of obligation or not, end up celebrating with us.
so yes, i'm gradutating 3 weeks from today. pretty crazy i guess. some days i'm excited and confident that everything's gonna be cool and other days i'm somewhat freaked out. can't stop the inevitable though...college graduate, here i come!
i'm imaging the next 17 days to be a bit crazy, academically and socially. there's some people i've been interacting with lately and at times i think, "there's a good chance that i will never see you ever again in my life after these 3 weeks are up." i'm often in awe of that. you know, how people come and go in our lives. and it's not that i don't ever want to see them again, it's just that sometimes people are only meant to be there for a certain amount of time. and that's just it. like the kids you play with at recess in elementary school. or that person you sat next to in geometry. and eventually one day for me, one of my co-workers. everything and everyone come and go, without any expectation of ever seeing them again, but if you do then that's cool too.
personally, my goal is to hold on tight. hold on tight to a lot of good people i've met in college. and i know i could say that and never make an actual effort to, but i want to and i'll try (call me out on it if i don't) cuz i like my college friends! :D so here's to my college friends, past and present, who will all soon become the people i need to have catch-up lunches, dinners, and hangouts with.
now, in the words of melvin j. penano, i'm gonna, "get back to work!"
