i realized that i start a lot of my blogs with the word "so." i figured i should start with a decent greeting.
hi!
so tomorrow is my mom's legal/official birthday, not that she has an illegal/unofficial birthday, but...well she does have 2 birthdays. tomorrow is the one written on her birth certificate. her other one, which we already celebrated, is her actual birthday. anyways, my dad actually wants to celebrate it. he keeps asking, "so where are we gonna go out for dinner to celebrate" lol! my mom just laughs. the more i hang out with my parents, the more i discover why i am the way that i am. the other day when my mom was off, they spent a good part of the morning just talking about grocery sales on chicken vs. beef. they compared albertsons, ralphs, and stater bros. anyways, later during that same day they brought the topic up again. haha, i couldn't figure out if that's what happens when your an older married couple or if my parents are just...well...odd. but then again, aren't all parents odd?!
in other news: i've official hit rock bottom. of course i'm talking about my health...haha, j/k. but seriously, i'm not healthy...in fact, i'm worried about my health. there's been times during the day where my heart starts to hurt and no not because of a "broken heart', but because i think my arteries hate me. sometimes, i think i eat as if i exercise hours a day. when in fact i don't exercise at all...i don't even get a chance to burn some calories at work. at least at my old job i got to walk around campus and push stuff. at the pharmacy i walk, but it's just not the same.
speaking about work, i realized i haven't blogged about it. i feel now is a good time to talk about it cuz i have a few stories.
story #1: apparently one of the customers used to be selena gomez's agent. don't know why he isn't anymore, but yea...thought i'd share. i thought that was funny...and weird!
story #2: i discovered that my 4th grade teacher gets her prescriptions filled there. small world, ehh?
story #3: when i was a kid, my mom used to ask me to get something (usual cooking materials) from the pantry or cabinet. many times, i couldn't find/see what she was talking about. so i'd go back to her and say, "it's not there." well, it (whatever i was looking for) was there...supposedly. then my mom would say as she walked over and looked, "OH! what's that?! it's right there in front of your eyes! you weren't even looking!" and alas, it really was right "in front of my eyes." anyways, i used to think that i couldn't find things cuz i was a kid and kids are....what's the right word...distracted. well, i guess that must mean i'm still a child because the pharmacists or patients always ask me to find medicines on the shelf...and well let's just say that story tends to repeat itself many times a day.
a few weeks ago, my listening skills were challenged at work, now it's my eyes that are being challenged. i guess i've been focusing so much on listening to patients, that my eyes have suffered. too bad both a pretty bad. i think growing up, i learned to rely on my sense of smell. actually it's the best sense i have, mainly because my eyes and ears are bad. one day i'll be able to enhance them all...muahahaha! maybe.
oh and guess what? i found out that there's an organization called pharmacists without borders (similar to doctors without borders). all i can say is, "interesting...very interesting."
okay, i think i'm done for now. i'm pretty much just typing out a bunch of random thoughts. you know, during the day i actually come up with more interesting topics, then when i finally get to a computer i don't remember any of them. *sigh*
anyways, good night.
p.s. i've discovered a candy called a crunchie. it's a milk chocolate bar with a honeycombed sugar center. i haven't tried it yet, but it sounds delicious! :D
