i took a walk to and around campus today (which gave me a rainbow sandal burn (torn skin) on the index toe of my left foot) with my backpack. it made me feel like a student again and i liked it. turns out i actually miss going to lecture and labs. i always figured i'd just miss the social life of college, but apparently, i miss it all. maybe i just miss learning. anyways, i dropped off an info packet for a letter of rec from my bio professor. i got nervous because she kept starring at my unofficial transcript. damn, i knew those random letters with pluses and minuses would kill me in a slow and painful manner. and thus continues the pain.
in other news i had carnitas fries from alertos...first time ever! and i have to admit i kind of miss the large fries. also i think i like the carnitas better from alertos than albatros. there you go mel...you have officially converted another.
now onto the news that i probably don't have to inform you about, but i will anyway. i have a large spider bite on the right side of my tummy. i desperately want to scratch it, but i know i shouldn't. i put that weird green asian medicine on it. so far the desire to scratch it has gone down, though i know in due time that shall wear off. also i'm grateful that the spider bit my tummy instead of my face. i hate insect bites on the face. oh and just as a warning to my roommates, i think i got the spider bite from shawshank because i discovered it yesterday morning on my way back to canada. also...i heard about the morning call from the ants...sorry i wasn't there to assist in the counterattack.
oh yea, for some random reason i'm really excited for Christmas. i know that it's 5 months away, but i'm seriously excited. i don't know if it's because of the heat and i'm eager for cold weather or because i'm just excited for Christmas and all its beauty. i think it's both.
hmm...what else to talk about?
i feel pretty overwhelmed and scared right now, but who doesn't right?! i know with some hard work and focus i can get this done. it's not like the opportunities aren't there for me to take. i am very blessed and i know for certain He is with me.
all in all...i gotta keep my head up, stop dwelling on the past, and get to work. =D
good day!

"that weird green asian medicine"...I know what you're talking about! It has "magical" properties in my opinion.
