parental observations
so you know how i used to blog about things my roommates said or did...
well now, most days out of the week my parents are my roommates. with that said...
mom: (talking to me) didn't you say you needed wedding wrapping paper?
dad: (interrupts conversation) oh, i bought some for you yesterday. (dad goes to the next room and pulls out some wrapping paper. one roll is red and the other has daisies) here you go!
mom: (looks kinda frustrated) that's not wrapping paper for a wedding!! go put that away! (looks at me) i'll get you some today at blake paper.
fyi, blake paper is like party america, but cheaper.
oh and lately my parents have been watching tagalog movies. now you may not think that's unusual for filipino parents, but for mine, that is very unusual.
anyways, i'm sure there's been more strange moments here in canada, but i've failed to make a mental note of them. as for me, i've been doing well...up until today at least. the last few days i've been somewhat motivated and slightly productive, but today i kinda slowed down and well i currently feel like i've lost momentum. i'm trying to think optimistically because i did get a few things in order today...very important things, like life or death things...haha! other then that, words escape me at the moment. hopefully tomorrow morning i'll be able to remove the road block to my writing. seriously, i'm close...really close! so close, it's the most important part.
as for all other aspects of my life, i love date nights with my roommates even if there is "tension." and frances, well she's pretty crazy busy, which is great! seeing her at work reminds me of why i used to write all those essays about her. you know those elementary school prompts, "Write about a role model in your life. Someone you admire...blah, blah, blah." haha, yea i wrote a few about her. i think it's pretty funny just cuz i used to annoy her so much when i was a kid. in fact, i think on occassion i still do. hmm...any other aspects to cover. well my brother called me the other day. he said he just wanted to check up on me and see how things are going. too bad he doesn't live closer to home and too bad he doesn't have kids yet.
alright then...this seems like a good spot to lay down and sleep.
good night!
