i'm watching the CMA's right now and it's very exciting...for me at least. they've been poking lots of fun at the whole kanye and taylor incident. but other than that i like that they have lots of performances. i also really like when brad paisley and carrie underwood host. they're both so cute, plus i like the way their comments and antics bounce off each other. well of course they've only hosted twice, but it's still fun when they host.

anyways, not much has happened in this part of the world (aka canada). my dad's been rearranging the front yard, my mom's finally gotten over her cold (yipee!) and she loves walking miles 1 and 5 with leslie. oh and frances, well...she's being frances. =) actually today, my dad hemmed 3 of my pants. i'm really glad we got him that sewing machine last Christmas. i swear that man amazes me everyday. i remember when i was a kid, i once asked my mom, "how does dad know how to do all that stuff?" she laughed and said, "well you know...he just does." great answer....haha! special props to my grandma for raising such an amazing man. side note, i miss her a lot.

as for me, i started reading another novel, still doing the pharmacy clerk gig, and been playing lots of wii sports resort. oh and i can't seem to beat the table tennis champion. she's pretty good. other than that, i've been listening to carrie's cd endlessly. the cd wasn't an instant hit with me, but i grew to like it. lots of fun and easily relatable songs. i also really like temporary home. i swear the end gets to me everytime...i love it! speaking of getting to me, i watched "my sister's keeper." could i have been anymore teary eyed?! i'm pretty sure my eyes were watery during that entire movie except for when my parents were talking over the commentary. actually i don't know if that's what it's called, but yes, they were talking and i get really annoyed when people talk during movies or even tv shows. i think it has to do with my bad hearing. anyways, it was pretty sad
(hey, i guess i do have a heart...lol) or maybe i was just internalizing it too much. i kinda want to read that book next...just out of curiousity. but that would have to come after i finish this book and mitch albom's new book. yes, i'm pretty excited about reading mitch albom's new book, i'll let you know how that goes.

so yes, other than that not much else has been going on. my 2 highs of the moment are...
1) it's mid-november and i can still wear sandals!
2) i love being at home not just because of my family and the food but also because of the mountains. yes i love going outside on clear days to just stare at the beauty of the mountains which are literally a 30 minute drive away. i forgot how much i appreciate seeing that amazing painting. for 4 years i neglected that scenery and now i am blessed to be able to gaze upon it again. i'm looking forward to seeing those mountains covered in snow even if it only lasts for a day due to our lovely southern california weather. i guess i really am a nature type person even with all my allergies...i love the beach, the mountains, empty fields and all that other good stuff. this winter season, i want to go snowboarding. gonna try to save up some money for that adventure. i also just want to play in the snow. i know, i know you'd think last winter retreat was enough snow to last me a life time, well it wasn't. i love going to the mountains and sledding. seriously good times and great memories! let's go!

other than that, that's about it! hopefully one of these days i'll have more to update on.

oh yea, did i mention i had loads of fun last thursday/friday with the roommates and friends in irvine? well, i did! thanks guys! :D

okay, that's all for now. good night!

@dean: i like country harmonies too. u don't hear them that much in pop.

@baller: carnitas fries soon! please. as for u dad knowing everything, they don't just teach u how to kick ass in the CIA, even though that's what u do most of the time.
