majestic diaper towers?
boy i love this time of the day...11:00pm-ish. why, you may ask? because it's quiet and i can read. plus everyone's home and it makes me feel all happy inside that we're safe and sound in the comfort of our home! :D well obviously i'm not reading, but it is quiet enough for me to think about what i want to say in my blog entry. not that i'm about to delve into deep topics or anything like that.
anyways, i'm reading a book about "the end of the world." honestly, i didn't intend on reading a book about the end of the world, it just so happens that the lady at borders saw me touch this book which in turn caused her to suggest the book. which then led to my purchasing of this book from costco because borders is expensive. so back to this book...to be frank, it's pretty uneventful, but for some strange reason i keep reading it. partially because it's an easy read and well, i bought it. speaking about the end of the world, my dad brought up the topic of the movie 2012. he asked me if i think it's going to end in 2012 and i replied, "probably not. society often picks random years and says the world's going to end." then he said, "oh yea, like Y2K. they even thought the world was gonna end in the 60's and now it's 2009" man, had the world ended in the 60's this entry and this thought and this sentence would be nonexistent...as would you and i, physically speaking of course...spiritually, who knows?!
ok, enough about that. first of all, i can't believe it's going to be thanksgiving next week. can i just say whoa! i had a conversation with myself and it pretty much went like this,
"wait a minute, is it thanksgiving next week?"
"yup!"
"are you serious?!"
"yes, we are very serious!"
so yes, thanksgiving...good ol' december...which = Christmas, and then finally the year 2010, which will no longer be a year in the near future, but a year of the present. crazy!
speaking of work, a drug user tried to get prescriptions filled last week at the pharmacy. he had this weird story about his doctor being in fullerton and he worked in LA, but lived in laguna beach, but wanted medicine from irvine. yea, doesn't make sense at all. apparently a key to identifying these individuals besides the unexplainable stories is the fact that he requested a different color tablet. he wanted yellow pills instead of white ones because the white ones hurt his stomach...obviously because he's using them way too much. anyways, brad the pharmacist (which i intend on using as a name for one of the characters on a show i will one day pitch to a producer and/or writer about pharmacy...because that uneventful, yet necessary medical career apparently is lacking in the television industry and i'd find it very comedic if one existed [as discussed with julienne]) kinda scared him away by saying it's gonna cost him over $100. brad's cool like that. he comes off as very quiet and soft spoken, but he seems fairly tough and knows a lot about sports. he grew up on a farm in minnesota which reminds me of marshall from how i met your mother. oh yea, it wasn't just any farm, it was a turkey farm...speaking of thanksgiving.
oh yea, on sunday i went to a baby shower. umm...not really my cup of tea, but all the kids there were adorable. i don't interact well with them, but they're really cute! anyways, all the girls got stuck playing baby shower games, which wasn't bad at all...but the guys got to hang out in the garage, watch sports, and play pool. to be honest, i prefer that over trying to guess how many diapers are in the diaper tower (don't worry, the diapers weren't used.) but it's okay, my mom had fun and i had fun watching her have fun. she won 2 of the games...she gets really excited...it's funny! so i guess i did have fun with all the games, but as for now, i don't think there will be any baby shower games at my baby shower. i'm currently trying to think of alternative things to do. of course this whole baby shower thing's not gonna be for awhile, with that said, i may change my mind. =P
hmm...so that's pretty much all i have to report. i'm kind of just waiting for extremely out of the ordinary information to share with you, but so far i got nothing.
well, i suppose i'll see you when i see you. until then, good night my friend! now...back to reading!
