it's been awhile, but here's a quick random update.

background information: we have no TV. mind you, this isn't a complaint just a fact. so our receiver is down or broken or whatever and we can't watch TV. i feel like i'm living at Shawshank pt. 2 again. anyways, dinner was different only because it was quiet, but not an awkward quiet, more like a peaceful quiet. during dinner my parents pretty much ended up talking the whole time, while i looked through the sunday paper for coupons.

observation: my parents are still getting to know each other even after 33 years of marriage. i've noticed this before, but i guess since there's no background noise i paid even more attention. so by getting to know each other i mean to say that they still tell each other stories about when they were kids as if the other one has never heard the story before. and i really do believe that the other one has never heard the story before. i think that's cool. telling old stories to a person you've known for over 33 years for the first time. i kind of want that. whether it's with an outstanding friend or my future husband. just a thought born out of an observation.

now here's my complaint. worse timing ever! it is premiere week and we have no TV! seriously, this is borderline scary...haha, jk! just hope the new receiver comes in before wednesday because i do not want to miss modern family!!! :)
